Colin Farrell spills the beans on ‘dark and moving’ The Batman script after rambling on about kebabs

Colin Farrell finally revealed a few details on the new The Batman script that we’ve all been kept in the dark about for months.

The In Bruges star discussed his upcoming role as The Penguin (Oswald Cobblepot) in Matt Reeves’ new film starring Robert Pattinson and any information we can get is good.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 43-year-old said: ‘I’m in the process of talking to Matt Reeves, who’s the director, who wrote the script, and wrote a really beautiful, dark, moving script, really gorgeous.’

Dark, you say?

He continued: ‘It’s all very hush-hush, but it’s a really beautiful script that he wrote and he has a real love for it, Matt. So, we’re in the process of finishing designing the aesthetic of the character.’

The actor is joining an already stellar cast, with Robert Pattinson taking on the role of billionaire Bruce Wayne, while Zoe Kravitz will be playing Catwoman in the movie, which is being shot under the mysterious title Vengeance.

Meanwhile, the director also confirmed Andy Serkis as butler Alfred, with the role previously being played by Sir Michael Caine in the Christopher Nolan directed Dark Knight trilogy.

Peter Sarsgaard is rumoured to be playing the role of Harvey Dent after he was added to the production, with Aaron Eckhart, who played the villain in Nolan’s 2008 flick The Dark Knight, looking forward to how the character will be portrayed.

Colin probably didn’t have enough time to tell fans about his new role considering he spent a good five minutes of the interview discussing his favourite kebab shop.

The star has been promoting Irish food chain Abrakebabra so much that he received the chain’s first-ever black card.

He has unlimited kebabs at no cost, so we’re not shocked he didn’t get to discuss The Batman when more important things are at hand.

Colin originally had a gold card after he talked about the chain in an Aer Lingus interview, but quickly upgraded after discussing it’s greatness on The Ellen Show and Jimmy Kimmel.

‘I came on lovely Ellen’s show and your lovely show and basically took the f**king thing international,’ he excitedly said.

‘So I got a call from them saying that they had printed up a black card. Nobody has a black card! The Pope doesn’t have a black card.’

Not even the pope, folks. Not even the pope.
