Ferne McCann breaks down and says she wants to find love and get married

She is a proud and fiercely independent single mother to her daughter Sunday.

Yet Ferne McCann let her emotional side show during Wednesday's episode of First Time Mum, as she revealed she feels ready to find love again and settle down after being burned by relationships in the past.

The former TOWIE star, 29, was enjoying a getaway by the coast with her best friend Carl Cunard and her little girl, when she confessed that she wishes she was able to do similar trips with a boyfriend rather than a pal.

Moving on: Ferne McCann let her emotional side show during Wednesday's episode of First Time Mum, as she revealed she feels ready to find love again

After reflecting on her current relationship status while on the trip, during a candid chat Ferne told Carl: 'I never let myself get to that stage where I actually want to meet someone. I'm so ready to meet someone now, I don't want to be on my own.'

Ferne revealed that seeing her family and friends with partners has made her yearn for the same thing, she said: 'Being away with my sister, her husband, the guys in Spain...

'Seeing people with their kids in a partnership it is really hard because it's all on me. I just want that affection and love and I want to grow up and have a family, I want to get married as well.'

Despite an earlier scene showing Ferne excitedly looking around her brand new house, she added that she feels there is still something slightly empty in her life.

She said: 'Even though I've bought a house and I'm doing it on my own I do feel like something i missing. I feel like my relationship towards men is so messed up as well.'

Heartbreakingly, she added: 'I just want to fall in love - is that too much to ask?'

In happier scenes, Ferne joked that she wanted to have a hot tub installed outside her new sprawling property, as she also revealed her plans to build a playroom for her daughter Sunday.

As Ferne took a tour around the house she also joked she'd be doing the washing up 'every day' as the kitchen overlooked the stunning Essex countryside.

In the clip, Ferne took little Sunday, her friend Carly and her mum Gilly to the house, which is still being built and is surrounded by the picturesque Essex countryside.

Ferne went onto admit that in her current flat she doesn't do her washing, so she couldn't wait to have a utility room in her new home.

'I'm gonna have my very own utility room, actually going to do my own washing now! My mum's not gonna pick it up from me,' she adds in the clip.

Ferne also takes little Sunday into the empty space that will eventually be her playroom, telling her daughter: 'Sunday this is gonna be your playroom wow!

'As much as I love being a single mum and it is rewarding and the only experience I've known as a mother, I also see some of my friends who are nailing it together as parents and I think "I would love to be a mum in a relationship."

'Soon after I gave birth lots of people were prematurely asking if I was going to have more children and look for a father figure for Sunday and I felt overwhelmed.

'But now I am so ready for that, I'm 30 next year and would love to settle down and meet The One and fall in love again.'
