This whirlwind of year comes after a party dark time when Lizzo reveals she almost dropped out of the music industry.

After moving to Minneapolis in 2011 to pursue her passion of music, her big break came just five years later when she signed a deal with Atlantic Records.

And just a year later, she released her EP Coconut Oil which included her popular hit, Truth Hurts.

Grammy nominated: Lizzo took to her social media to share a list of her whooping eight Grammy nominations for the 2020 awards ceremony

'The day I released Truth Hurts was probably one of the darkest days I've had ever in my career. I remember thinking, 'If I quit music now, nobody would notice. This is my best song ever, and nobody cares,'' she recalled during an interview with People.

'I was like, 'F**k it, I'm done.' And a lot of people rallied; my producer, my publicist and my family, they were like, 'Just keep going because this is the darkest before the dawn.''

But then two years later, the song spiked into the top 10 of the Billboard 100 charts after it appeared in the Netflix original movie, Someone Great.

Iconic: Lizzo is pictured above performing at the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans back in October

'Who would have thunk?' she recalled.

'What a moment in a movie can do for an artist is crazy. I had everything else: the hard work, the good music, touring — but then there's that extra-special magic that nobody really knows what it is that can really change your life.'

'Now the song that made me want to quit is the song that everyone's falling in love with me for, which is such a testament to journeys: Your darkest day turns into your brightest triumph.'

Snack time: While waiting near It's a Small World for the group's next move, they all sat down to enjoy an evening treat

Good friend: One friend came over with a load of delicious Disney treats and Lizzo wanted in on the snacks

Quick break: She sat down to enjoy her snack while browsing on her phone in between rides
