Bindi Irwin has revealed she has 'always known' she would marry her now fiancé Chandler Powell, who she has been dating since she was a teenager.

She told her 2.9million followers that she knew he was the one from the start.

''I think I’ve always known': Bindi Irwin believes that she knew he was the one from the start of their relationship in 2013

'I think I’ve always known I’d marry him one day,' she said.

Back in 2015, the then 17-year-old was dressed up in her retro-style dancewear in the snap while the 19-year-old Chandler sported a button up shirt and a head full of curls.

Bindi described how sweet her teenage boyfriend was while she went through the emotional roller coaster competition.

'He’d help me bandage my feet and find my favourite snacks,' she said.

It is all the more impressive that the Florida-based teen made it out to Los Angeles for the visit, which is at least a five-and-a-half hour flight journey.

The couple started dating when Bindi was only 15, having met while she was showing the then 17-year-old's family around Australia Zoo.

Chandler later revealed that they hadn't exchanged numbers on the day, but he had reached out to her mother Terri to ask if he could keep in touch.

The American expat got down on one knee earlier this year, proposing with an ethically-made engagement ring reportedly worth between $25,000 and $50,000.

They will get married at Australia Zoo and Bindi even wants to walk with a koala down the aisle.
