EXCLUSIVE: 'I was very lucky to have such a meaty guest role': Andrew Creer - the Australian star of Netflix's You - reveals what it was like working with Penn Badgley on the hit thriller. Pictured with co-star Victoria Pedretti, who plays Love Quinn

Andrew plays the brief love interest of Victoria Pedretti's main character, Love Quinn, during the seventh episode of season two, Ex-istential Crisis.

Throughout the episode, Andrew also starred in scenes alongside the show's lead, Penn Badgley, who plays antagonist Joe Goldberg.

'I was very lucky to have such a meaty role that was so well thought-out,' he said.

'The whole show revolves around Joe. Every character has to have some interplay with Joe. I was very fortunate to play around with all the amazing cast.

'When I first read the script, I was like, "This is going to be fun".'

'The role was so well thought-out': Andrew plays the brief love interest of Victoria Pedretti's main character, Love Quinn, during the seventh episode of season two, Ex-istential Crisis

'Every character has to have some interplay with Joe': As Penn's character is an obsessed and jealous serial killer, it was only fitting Milo would become integral to the storyline

Andrew said that Milo was originally supposed to be British, but the character was later changed to be Australian so he could perform in his native accent.

He said of his co-stars: 'They are absolute champions - they're so professional and Penn himself is a grounded and intelligent man.

'Penn is so aware of the character that he's playing, but he himself is such a strong feminist and charismatic person. I really don't think many other people could play the character that he does and do it with such nobility and charisma.

'He's a really special person and Victoria is such a wonderful up-and-coming actress.'

Sorry, Brits! Andrew said the role of Milo was originally meant to be British, but it was later changed so he could play an Australian

Before starring in You, Andrew had appeared in Lethal Weapon, Rip Tide and Tomorrow, When the War Began.

'I've been so fortunate this year, I have to pinch myself. I have just come off the back of doing four movies, a TV show, a short film and a play,' he said.

'It's been an actor's dream to have such diverse, amazing roles. I'm very grateful.'

Andrew was raised on a cattle farm just outside of Tamworth, NSW, and studied at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts.
