Eric Bana, Mark Webber and Pat Rafter host VIP charity dinner for Bushfire Appeal

Hollywood actor Eric Bana, F1 driver Mark Webber and tennis star Pat Rafter are hosting a charity dinner to raise funds for the Australian bushfire crisis.

On Tuesday, the stars announced they would auction off an exclusive VIP dinner for 12 at Melbourne's EZARD restaurant this week.

'In addition to what we are doing individually, the three of us have teamed up to host a fun laid-back dinner for the highest bidder,' Eric said in a statement.

'Like everyone we have been saddened by the devastation and loss caused by the bushfires across Australia,' retired racing driver Mark and sportsman Pat added.

The intimate dinner with the three celebrities will be auctioned off online over a period of seven days.

EZARD owners Teage and Tina Ezard have donated the experience for the charity cause, which includes a seven-course meal with wines to match.

'We are very proud to be participating in this special event to raise much-needed funds for Australia’s bushfire relief efforts,' Teage and Tina said.

All funds raised will be split equally between the Australian Red Cross and the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund.   

The successful bidder must be available to dine at EZARD with the three stars between 27 January and 2 February 2020.

The auction will go live on Wednesday 15 January from 9am, here
